Overnight Pet Sitting
Overnight Pet Sitting is also known as 24-hour or Live-in Pet Care. We are based in Highbridge & Burnham-on-Sea and our area includes the whole of Somerset and the UK and is subject to availability. We advise getting in touch as soon as possible ensure the dates you need are available.
Live-in pet sitting (overnight pet sitting) offers an alternative solution to kennels and catteries where your pets are cared for exclusively and safely in their own home while you're away. It helps alleviate separation anxiety and loss of appetite during a change of routine. There's no need to find a kennel or cattery you trust and you save time by not having to and forth the alternative pet accommodation.
Everything carries on as normal and we'll even water your plants, take in the mail, and alternate lighting etc, and as someone is staying in your home, for a couple of days or if you are on holiday. Your pets will be exclusively cared for in your own home within their usual routine and surroundings.
We are fully insured, proud to hold a CRB Police check, a canine first aid course and undertaking a pet psychology course and will soon be qualified to teach puppy and dog training classes too. If you have puppies - we can come and look after them on an hourly basis or overnight.
Live-in pet sitting is also very cost-effective - especially if you have more than one pet. So, if you have an multi-pet household, please take a look at the fee's section. I'll always try to give discounts to clients who book regularly to regular bookings or bookings of more than 7 days, so please do get in touch.
This is my small business, and therefore my livelihood, but I am a pet owner too, and will always try to do my best for my clients where I can. We have some examples on our fees section on this page as a guide. First-time clients always receive a 10% discount too.
We include 4 miles of inclusive travel from TA9 and then mileage is charged at 50p per mile to cover fuel costs or alternative arrangements can be made if overnight pet sitting is requested further away. Please contact us for more information on this.
What does Overnight Pet Sitting Service Include?
In the majority of cases, it means we will be present for the entire duration of our stay other than carrying out some chores and you're pet won't be left for more than a few hours at a time. Of course, we will discuss this along with your needs when you make your enquiry, which means that your pet will receive exclusive attention throughout your time away from home.
Pet Care also includes: Feeding, regular fresh water, exercise, toilet breaks, and of course playtime and cuddles! Any tidying up after your pet as when required.
We will always try to incorporate the familiarity of your pet’s normal living routine into our stay in order to make sure that they’re happy and as comfortable as possible. Dog walks are included in the price.
Where does the Pet Sitter sleep?
Any beds or spare rooms that can be available are preferred. We can provide our own bedding if necessary.
House Sitting & Security
In addition to looking after your animals while you’re away, there are also home security benefits to our Live-In pet sitting service. As part of the service, we can provide basic house-sitting services in the form of plant watering, house light rotation, blinds, curtain drawing, taking out bins, and recycling. All of these things can be arranged in advance and can contribute to an outward sign that your home is occupied.
Overnight Pet Sitting Fees
The fees are listed on an ‘approx’ basis depending on how many pets you have, what type, your pets needs etc. Therefore, all fees are assessed on an individual basis. I prefer to meet you and your pet first with our included 'meet & greet' session but these fees are the norm. We are fully insured and police DBS Police Checked, Proof of these can be found on our facebook page.
We will be responsible for your pets for every 24 hour period booked, with minimum time away from them - as if you were actually at home. Only leaving to carry out chores. This means they won't be left alone for more than a few hours and very often, not at all. This can be discussed during your included meet & greet session and depending on your needs.
For many of us, we have more than one pet, stay at home boarding is very cost-effective but even so, having multiple pets may have you worried about cost, This is why my fees are as low (especially considering an hourly rate for 24 hours). In addition to this, I'll always try my best to help if you are going away for long periods, are a first-time or regular client, and I’ve included some price scenarios here as a general guide, but please contact me to discuss this further.
We include, as part of the service a free 'Meet & Greet' meeting where we come and chat with you and meet the fur family. This is for us to get acquainted with you and your pets and to give you peace of mind. Mileage is included for the first 4 miles from Highbridge, Somerset, and then charged at 50p per mile each way. Further meetings can be arranged and treated as pet visits and charged at £16 for around 30 minutes, plus any mileage costs if applicable. The visits generally last longer as I want you to be completely happy with entrusting your beloved pets in my care and of course myself and any pet sitter if it isn't myself. All this will be discussed when you contact us, on the phone and when we meet to confirm all the arrangements.
'Meet & Greet' Sessions
This is free for the first meeting (mileage is payable after 4 miles from TA9)
Additional meetings can be arranged if required and are charged per hour/half hour
Mileage will be charged for additional meetings if further than 4 miles from Highbridge, Somerset.
Dogs
Overnight 24 hour Dog Sitting in your home starts at £55 per overnight stay (24 hours) for one dog.
Price is charged for a 24 hour period (for example: Monday 1pm - Tuesday 1pm)
There is a minimum booking of 2 days - for one night stays, you will be charged for 2 x 24 hour period.
Please add £8 for each additional dog.
Mileage is included for 4 miles from TA9 and then charged at 50p per mile. Capped at £70 for long distance bookings.
First-time clients and clients who use my services regularly receive a 10% discount.

Please Note: To secure your booking, you'll receive a Pet Sitting Agreement to sign and return with a 50% non-refundable deposit which also explains our cancellation policy. Sadly we rarely are able to sit for just the day and charge a 3 day minimum as this prevents us from booking full weeks which results in loss of income. If however, we have spare days in-between visits, we will of course charge just for that day. Cats
Cat visits start at £16 a visit (based on 1 or 2 cats) more than one visit can be arranged each day if required.
Two visits per day £21 (based on 1 or two cats)
Includes feeding, cleaning bowls, changing fresh water, cleaning litter trays
Includes 20 minutes of fuss, playtime, and cuddles per visit.

Overnight 24 Hour Cat Sitting starts at £45 per 24 hour overnight stay for 1 or 2 cats.
Price is charged for a 24-hour period (for example : Monday 1pm - Tuesday 1pm)

Multiple Pet Households
Here are some scenarios to help you gauge some pet care costs while you're away from home for overnight, 24-hour pet care. I'll always do the very best I can. As mentioned at the top of the page, there is a minimum charge for 2 x 24 hour live-in pet care. If you are going away for one night, you will be charged for two 24 hour periods.
4 Cats - £50 per 24-hour care
3 Cats, 2 rabbits, 1 hamster – approx £50 per 24-hour care
2 Dogs & 2 Cats – approx £60 per 24-hour care
5 Dogs & 2 Cats – approx £75 per 24-hour care
8 Dogs, 1 Cat, 3 Guinea Pigs – approx £90 per 24-hour care
2 Dogs, 4 Poultry – approx £60 24-hour care
3 Dogs, 15 Poultry, 2 Cats, and fish – starting at £60 per 24-hour care
8 dogs, 4 cats, 2 Rabbits – starting at £80 per 24-hour care
2 Dogs, 20+ poultry, 10 sheep/goats, 2 donkeys/ horses, 2 Rabbits, 3 pigs & 1 tortoise – set price £100 24-hour care
Please note that no pet sitting will ever go over £100 per 24-hour stay
Homes that have Puppies or Kittens will incur an additional charge - please contact us for details
Arrival/Departure Times:
Can be arranged with you and is charged on a 24-hour period. Our times start at 9am. Starting or finishing before this time or leaving after 9pm at night will incur and additional ££21 per hour. Additional full-day fees may be payable depending on the time required.
Additional Services
House cleaning before you arrive home £50. This consists of hoovering throughout your home. Cleaning the bathrooms & toilet. Kitchen surfaces and sink cleaned. Bins emptied and kitchen floor mopped.
Grocery Shopping – fresh milk & bread or whatever you need. Either leave me some petty cash or pre-pay the funds before you leave and I’ll buy the items to the value of the money left. Receipts will be left for you on your arrival with the groceries.
Small animal boarding may be available in my own if suitable. Prices start at £35 per night.
Will you administer pet medication?
Yes, absolutely. There is a charge of £3 per medication administered
